Senate cam: Den of iniquity, or just den?

A blogger's dilemma: The Jazz game is getting tight. You're too tired to write anything profound anyway. You've already surfed over to SenateSite.com to see if more senators are desperate for your insight on pending bills. Now what? Why, the SenateSight, of course: the live webcam that is on at all times in President John Valentine's office, the same webcam that -- until tonight -- has proved elusive to the blogger's screencapping efforts, denying visitors their Voice of Utah moment of glory.

Other than the fact that the clock runs 68 minutes fast (is that a coded message?), the few times we've clicked on the Senate Sight link, there hasn't been much to see: No suitcases full of unmarked bills, no impromptu soccer games with the speaker of the House, no Strippergrams from Parents for Choice in Education. Alas, one is more likely to see an unoccupied and suspiciously neat desk:

But, if one is lucky, one might also see evidence of a sense of humor:

A word of advice, Sen. Valentine: Don't let Greg Curtis see that. Pedro will probably get more votes than he does in 2008.

All your wildest dreams are about to come true . . .

"Suspiciously Neat" is what you get from a Senate President who is also a CPA and tax attorney (rock climbing and Search & Rescue propensities notwithstanding). His desk at home and the desk at his law office are just as organized.

The computer desk over by the door is where Andrew The Intern sits.
